美高梅博彩帮助实现愿望

Over 130 children and mentally-challenged adults have already been adopted-out through the adopt-a-family program sponsored by 美高梅博彩's 咨询中心 and Division of 学生事务. However, donations are still needed for 12 more children whose names are hanging on the Christmas tree located in vs上's University Union.

All the children selected as recipients in this year's program are either in foster care, in group homes or in needy families in our local area," said Leah McMillan, Valdosta State counselor. "This year, we included mentally challenged adults to our list of recipients."

The annual adopt-a-family program gives vs上 faculty, staff and students a chance to help those in our community who might otherwise fall through the cracks during the holiday season.

There's still time for anyone wanting to participate in this year's program. Simply choose a name off the Christmas tree, located in the Student Life office, on the second floor of the University Union and purchase the item requested. Gifts need to be dropped off by December 12 to allow adequate time to sort the gifts and have them delivered to recipients by December 24.

For more information, contact McMillan at 229-333-5940, or Wright at 229-333-5674 to volunteer or for more information.
