VALDOSTA — The Southwest Georgia section of the American Chemical Society will celebrate National Chemistry Week 2020 with an illustrated poem contest.

Area elementary, middle, and high school students are encouraged to participate in this annual event by writing and illustrating a poem inspired by this year’s National Chemistry Week theme, “Sticking with Chemistry.” 参赛作品必须在40字以内，以俳句、打油诗、颂歌、ABC诗、自由诗、尾韵或空白诗的形式写成。 鼓励参与者探索与胶水、壁虎、黏液、聚合物、胶带、粘附、粘合剂和内聚有关的主题。

A $50 cash prize will be awarded to the first place winner in each of four categories — kindergarten through second grade, third through fifth grade, sixth through eighth grade, and ninth through 12th grade.
