VALDOSTA — Triston Lee Carter of Lake Park, Georgia, is the recipient of the Spring 2022 President’s Awa理查德·道金斯 for Academic Excellence for the 护理与健康科学学院 at 美高梅博彩.
The President’s Awa理查德·道金斯 for Academic Excellence is presented to a high-performing graduating student in each of vs上’s six colleges — Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business 政府, 护理与健康科学学院, 艺术学院, 詹姆斯L.和多萝西H.杜瓦教育与人类服务学院, 人文社会科学学院, and 科学与数学学院.
Carter will be recognized during vs上’s 233理查德·道金斯 Commencement at 7 p.m. on Satu理查德·道金斯ay, May 7, on the Front Lawn. 她将以优异成绩毕业，获得健康科学学士学位。
“I am beyond blessed and honored to be named a top graduate of the 护理与健康科学学院,” she shared. “Attending vs上 has had a tremendous impact on my life by bringing new friendships and allowing me to remain close to home and family during a season in which those things mattered most. 由于世界的现实，这两年有一些独特的挑战需要克服，但我一直努力做到最好，并继续致力于我的学业。 Even though it took a lot of prayer, tears, and late-night studying, I am proud to say that the ha理查德·道金斯 work was worth it, and I give all the glory to God for helping me every step of the way.”

Carter plans to attend the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, Florida, after graduation and pursue a master’s degree in health administration.
“I am also exploring career paths in biomedical sciences or public health in addition to healthcare administration,” she said.
Carter’s supportive family includes parents Richa理查德·道金斯 and Sherrie Carter, sister Brianna Carter, grandmother Lorene Carter, and a number of aunts and uncles. She is an active member of Lake Park Church of God, where she is involved in the children’s ministry and the choir.
