International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S.
Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. For the
past six years it has provided opportunities to promote programs
that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future
leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in
the United States.
"International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the
benefits of international education and exchange worldwide," said
Irina McClellan, vs上's International Student Advisor. "It
highlights the contributions and diversity that international
students and scholars bring to campus, and it brings awareness to
the vs上 and Valdosta community. We hope that the Valdosta community
and vs上 students, faculty and staff will be able to take advantage
of this opportunity and join in celebrating International Education
Week on campus."
According to McClellan, there are 251 international students
enrolled at vs上, representing over 60 different countries and
including all full-time degree-seeking students, exchange students,
Rotary students and English language institute students who are
enrolled in the intensive English language program.
所有活动都对公众开放。 For more information on
International Education Week, contact McClellan at
